The popularity of this event has grown due to the amazing coordinators and celebrates the Night Sky of Joshua Tree National Park, which was designated a Dark-Sky Park by the International Dark Sky Association in 2017.. This annual all-day event includes activities for all ages. In recognition of a long-standing tradition between artists and the national parks, and specifically Joshua Tree’s impact on artists and visitors from around the globe, the Joshua Tree National Park Council for the Arts created an annual Art Exposition in 2013 — a juried art exhibition and celebration featuring art inspired by or depicting the unique natural beauty or cultural history of Joshua Tree National Park.
